for Sakuya, peace always came at the cost of exhaustion, bcs he had to perform to maintain the illusion of being "loved". but now, with Hachi, for the first time he isn't performing, and it feels liberating but also terrifying.

unconditional love is literally a new (physical and emotional) experience for him. it doesn't have a name in his internal dictionary yet, so it feels "unknown", but that unfamiliar feeling is exactly what can lift him (and maybe Hachi too) out of his loop.

this one is a bit of a stretch, but... how to put it. in a sense, he still tries to be the way he was--gentle and extremely accommodating--yet the old behaviors don't... fit? he isn't an idol anymore, and things no longer follow the old transaction rules he's used to.

this part is how he wants to accept unconditional care and love from others (esp Hachi coughs) but struggles bcs his conditioning dictates that he only "deserves" care if he's performing perfectly or pleasing someone (at least that's how he perceives himself, esp after his illness)
