The report provides a series of recommendations for policy and practice that are targeted pre-release, through-the-gate, and post-release to improve outcomes and assist in the resettlement of those who serve the longest sentences.

It provides insights into how release and resettlement was anticipated, prepared for, experienced, and continuously navigated even many years later in the community (focusing on experiences of release, experiences with probation, barriers to resettlement and support received upon release).
