Visit to the Citizens Theatre tonight for its first production post-refurb - #smallactsoflove. A musical about the Lockerbie disaster sounds like a strange project, but it worked. Very good. And the building is looking splendid.

I was at the Albanian Parliament this week looking at their civic education programmes. A lively student debate was in progress in the Assembly chamber.

Just read Summerwater by Sarah Moss. What a great writer. The style & format are perfectly suited to the unfolding story. Brilliant inner monologues over a range of characters. And the depiction of a wet Scottish lochside holiday is atmospheric, with a dark & growing sense of foreboding

We did it! The GSA Choir has reached its target to commission a new work for its 15th anniversary in 2027! Thanks to all who donated.
Composer Jay Capperauld & poet Niall Campbell will collaborate to create an ambitious new work for choir & string orchestra.

Our Ukrainian guests are on their way back to #Ukraine. A difficult decision for them. They decided that whatever the future holds, even after the despicable bullying behaviour of Trump in recent days, they wanted to be with their family.

Connections: Beyond.
Saw this brilliant exhibition today. Art from 16 Scottish prisons. Really interesting panel discussion too about the transformative power of creativity. Some stunning artworks.
