His Evidence course at Strathclyde also covered fact handling as well as the law of evidence. Again very unusual.

When I taught legal methods at Bristol decades ago, we did cover fact finding along with precedent and statutory interpretation. But that was entirely down to Donald Nicolson's personal crusade.
