Some more pictures from today’s enormous popular mobilisation in Sydney in support of Palestinians. The NSW premier and police tried to block this march. The courts rightly ruled in favour of it.
At least 100,000 people marched in the teeming rain.
End the genocide in Gaza now. #freepalestine

Ridiculous. Perhaps, I dunno, if our own “leaders” and governments acted with greater humanity, we the people would have less need to take to the streets.

Meanwhile in Gaza there are people actually dying, deliberately starved by Israel.

Which is the most harmful trope? Catachresis sounds painful.
In counting criticism of Israel as antisemitic when 'grounded in *harmful* tropes' etc., the new Universities Australia antisemitism definition is silent on what constitutes 'harm'. It will be used to justify banning keffiyehs and Palestinian flags, which Zionists regularly claim as harmful to them.
