The pattern is reversed for the Greens, but here the place of residence is more important than the place of birth. 😕
Germany's right-wing AfD is more successful in the east. However, 'in East Germany' & 'among East Germans' are not synonymous (e.g. East German residence & place of birth - see Foroutan et al. 2023). Place of birth seems to be more important than place of residence.
