Words are at their cheapest trade value when exchanged online — mind the person.
That is a very bad take.

Viewing states as binary plays precisely into the language of fascism.

Below are the election results for Texas. Even in a scenario in which they all voted for Trump, you can't be saying that kids should pay for their parents' mistakes.

Went to a charming outdoor cinema with cozy blankets and popcorn to see We Live In Time starring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield.

I see what you did there.

Pretty good attempt Kyle, but it doesn't reach the heights of your best:

Bought this hardcover of Orwell's Animal Farm (re-read) a few days ago from a local bookstore and it has a great appendix that I had to share.

I got the first and second covered, ice caramel coffee at the mall.
Working on the third.

I'll just leave this here for the giggles. The ratio aside, it is the perfect example of NYT normalization of what is otherwise a clear case of corruption.

The plot isn't going anywhere, but man, the vibes are good.

This lady made a Freddy Krueger one that I must own.
Not sure she still has it.

Aaron is offering an oversimplification at the detriment of the greater moral truth.

While it is morally correct that when no other options are available, the least damaging option is the moral one, it doesn't absolve that which had agency & gave rise to the limited options in the first place.

Well, perhaps.
I don't know the guy, so I can't speak for him, but I don't think this will change the outcome.

I think he is probably receiving a lot of toxic DMs on top of many toxic replies.
This is a leftist user who was toxic towards me and just look at his bio.

I decided to go for a genre in books I normally don't feel comfortable with...fantasy.

Specifically, the audiobook version of The Hexologists - which I learned about through @molly.wiki

For a fantasy book, we require a fantasy setting, so the audiobook accompanied me on today's three hour walk.

Forced to screenshot, as he has disabled quote-repost.

I disagree on both claims.

1. The constitution failed in preventing illiberal ideology to take the presidency & indifference to take Congress/SCOTUS.

2. If the tools are there to fix this & it isn't getting fixed, then the tools are outdated.

This was in reply to something else, but it feels relevant in any battle between the administration and the courts.

On one of my trail-runs during the end of last year, I saw this little bird balancing perfectly on the top of the tiniest branch.
Not as cool as a raven, but the little guy had such a gallant pose.
