Today was meaningful. Witnessing this history allows us to trace the origins of injustice and oppression. Honoring the past can equip us with the moral clarity and necessary knowledge to advocate for social justice today. We must do better. #A2Council

Ena and I joined Michigan Democratic leaders in Detroit to watch some football and hear from Kentucky’s Governor @andybeshearky.bsky.social. To answer the question on everyone’s mind — yes, he is rooting for the Lions today!

In 2020, I got a call from Jacob Inosencio with an idea — an initiative to combat local food insecurity and improve sustainability efforts. Five years later, this idea has blossomed into a nonprofit that meaningfully expanded food access for an entire community. I'm proud of us.

Introducing… Mr. and Mrs. Sova!

I had so much fun joining @moreneighborsa2.org to talk about growth trends in Michigan. Young people are prioritizing attractive places, accessible housing, and ease of transportation. It's encouraging to see a grassroots effort emerge in Ann Arbor to prioritize these needs and take hold! #A2Council

Less than one week left until the big day! We're immensely grateful to our friends, family, and community for celebrating our wedding season with us. A special thank you to Governor Whitmer for recognizing our union with this kind letter.

I gathered some friends to join me in support of SOS Community Services. We left inspired by those fighting to provide shelter and housing security in Washtenaw County. This new generation recognizes that housing is a fundamental necessity. We must continue to prioritize this important work!

It was a genuine honor to stand in support of Garrett's Space and their vital mission in our community. We must all commit to prioritizing the mental health and wellbeing of young people throughout Washtenaw County.

Tonight, I was a guest on the Prisoner2Painter podcast to discuss my upbringing, career journey, and views on public service. It's truly an honor to hear that others find inspiration in my life story — I'm always grateful. Thanks are owed to such gracious hosts! www.youtube.com/live/DbSVuMD...

Ena and I had a great time at Anime Arbor! As we walked through the packed aisles of vendors and attendees, I felt emotional thinking that we'll someday have an even bigger library. That space allows us to expand our footprint and services, creating more special moments like these.

Tonight, I had the honor of meeting U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff! We discussed a shared love of libraries, paths to affordable homeownership, and our hopes for the future of this country. From the Great Lakes to the Peach State, we're both working to build stronger communities.

At twenty-three years old, I was elected to the Ann Arbor District Library Board with big goals. Just three years later, we secured a new downtown library! Proposals A and B passed — WE DID IT! #A2Council 🧵

I’m at Dicken Elementary with my friend greeting folks at the polls! I always enjoy talking about how incredible the Ann Arbor District Library is, but it’s even more fun chatting with my neighbors. Polls are open until 8 PM — please vote YES on Proposals A and B! #A2Council

I just voted YES on Proposals A and B! Ann Arbor, I want to live in a community that prioritizes education, empowerment, and ingenuity. For zero new tax dollars, we can build a bigger, better library space for everyone. Join me in voting YES by 8 PM today! #A2Council

The President of the United States has removed funding from libraries, museums, and classrooms across the nation. This national trend even echoes locally, as some in Ann Arbor oppose a new library. #A2Council (1/3)

Today, I was proud to join other leaders at the @legalservicescorp.bsky.social’s forum in Detroit — we discussed expanding civil legal services in Michigan, with a focus on advancing local housing solutions. It’s a privilege to be a part of this conversation and work!

We had a great time! Senator @mallorymcmorrow.bsky.social consistently impresses me with her ability to meaningfully connect with Michiganders, understand their perspectives, and focus on essential issues.

Ena and I have so enjoyed canvassing for Proposals A & B! This innovative space could deliver a vibrant outdoor public area, mixed-income housing, dedicated performance venue, opportunities for local retail, and expanded resources – all without raising taxes! #A2Council

In this house, we celebrate Uncle’s Day! Reagan was just fifteen years old when he became my father figure — I’ll love him forever for that.
