For further context, the author suggests focusing more on upping in-depth reporting and community engagement instead of just trying to beat AI. Definitely the right response IMO even if it doesn't make what AI's impact on the industry as a whole could be less horrifying.

At the very least it isn't Paramount buying them, but Netflix is already massive and frequently jacks up subscription prices for no reason. Not to mention their stubborn refusal to have anything in theaters even though it can only do them good.
