The issue is that while these cameras have worked, their locations are public knowledge and have been mapped extensively. If people start using the open-source information out there to evade these cameras and other forms of surveillance, new cases of arson could go unsolved.

While police have apprehended suspects in previous Tesla molotov attacks so far, they've done so primarily due to the capabilities of ALPR (Automated License Plate Reader) cameras which are stationary cameras specifically set up to track the movements of vehicles within a community or specific area.
