I like the UI but if you are going with a pixel art aesthetic, you should make sure that every pixel is the same size! So instead of scaling the buttons, I'd design them to be that big from the start :)

Considering that just building the foundation and all the little interactions took me weeks, but the game was still not playable after that... I'd say that it's a large percent hahahah
