Got a lot on my plate, so today’s hot drink of choice is hot chocolate with lots of mini marshmallows. My planter is definitely judging me haha

We’ve been working our way through The Lord of the Rings, so Sigma Kappa Delta’s contribution to this year’s Canstruction is the eye of Sauron
Eye of Sauron constructed out of soup cans, boxes of mashed potatoes, and tuna snack boxes. The eye itself is filled with goldfish packets. The whole thing is lying flat on the floor, rather than a freestanding tower.

Starting my week off on a good note

Once a month we do a Gratitude Breakfast for faculty and staff, and for the first one of the year the Chamber of Commerce does a giveaway with prizes from local businesses. This year, I won a karaoke mic and my colleague won an hour of axe throwing. Party in the English Department! 🎉🤣

Some of my inter library loan books came in, so today I am working on chapter revisions, translating Old English, and having a little treat with my morning coffee 😁
