TfL Go the official route planning app from @transportforlondon.bsky.social has a very creative approach to cycle directions. Camden to Paddington, via *checks map* Waterloo

This cycle lane in Camden used to have a physical barrier made of ‘wands’. After a scary incident when an HGV cut into the lane alongside me and my daughter I alerted the council to the danger and suggested more protection was needed. I noticed today that all protection has been removed.

Wow, the EPIC air quality fund received 322 applications for just 10-15 awards. Rarely has there been a stronger call to increase funding for air pollution research and campaigning. The people are willing, the problem is real, but the funds are lacking. epic.uchicago.edu/wp-content/u...

A poignant figure from the #IPCC 6th Assessment report, just released today. Global temperature change from the perspective of my generation, my parent's generation, and my daughters. We need to shift from incremental to transformational change #ClimateReport

Shortly after deciding not to buy a shirt because it came wrapped in plastic, I spotted this ten year old pledge on display in Sunderland ⁦@marksandspencer⁩. I wonder now, 10 years later, how successful they’ve been?

@LNER can you confirm if I need to print my bike reservation for a KGX-NCL train on thursday. The email confirmation say I have to print, the booking on my account says it is optional. I don't have a printer. Thanks!

Not filled with confidence when checking the official NHS contact tracing app today. Yesterday it sent then retracted a warning, today it is showing the wrong alert level. https://t.co/GlBNwl9d1m

Britain's greatest cyclist? Sadly @cyclingweekly aren't giving Beryl Burton, Nicole Cooke, Laura Kenny, Lizzie Deignan, Emma Pooley, Rachel Atherton or any other women a look in.

Great news, but BBC must not let @Draxnews go unchallenged. They can't get away with saying their CO2 emissions are "almost zero".

Wildly misleading.

For starters Drax are planning a new gas plant that could produce 75% of UK power sector...

Blimey, the IES just published an article on #fracking which suggeststhe *only* factors limiting the industry are money, public opinion, and earthquakes. There are plenty more to add, not least emissions of air pollutants and a complete incompatibility with achieving GHG targets

My train table companion has #SingleUsePlastic coffee and water imported from Iceland. I’m not calling them out individually. It’s our system that’s broken, bottled water imported to London from the middle of the Atlantic has become completely normal, completely unremarkable.
