So, today I'm announcing a new book project... and doing a call for papers: crpgbook.wordpress.com/2025/10/31/t...

It's an anthology of video game history outside the usual US perspective - an accessible & exciting panorama of different realities - and I'll pay 300 USD per article.

Please share :)

Today I’m putting my money where my mouth is and launching a new project — a book focused on game history outside of the usual North American perspectives.

Received my COVID and Flu booster as a person with a needle phobia and history of vasovagal response.

Ice cream seems appropriate.

Is this a logical fallacy?

Framing, personnel government and service cuts as savings.

Public: yay, savings!

Or

Public: Boo, cuts!

The following agencies "Came up with some of the higher savings."

This Douglas Fir is over 800 years old.

In 1225 it grew into our world while in England, Henry III reaffirms the Magna Carta.

That is wild!

Today I learned that youth on an inpatient unit took Pokémon card trading too far and the clinical team had an intervention.

Have all of you been doing it this way the whole time?!

Instead of digging inside the duvet cover frantically trying to match each corner.

I could have simply put it inside out, tied the corners and then flipped it right side out?

If no one was smiling for family photos in the 1900s when did the idea of smiling for a photo start?

Also, how neat is it to find a photo of your great and great-great grandfather's.

Aidan Anderson would have been a much more catchy name.

What! I can order online and have headphones delivered to my front door overnight, but a novel published in 1933 isn't easily accessible?

Three Days Grace should re-release (Riot, 2007) I feel like it would do well in 2025.

Transit needs better temperature control.

In Vancouver it feels the only way to regulate body temperature is to strip down to a bathing suit while aboard a bus.

Good luck when you step back outside into the rain and temperatures 10-15 degrees cooler.

Glad to see Canada deploying N.I.C.E agents.

A good reminder that good folks are all around us.

I don't understand. Can someone help?

Why do folks who champion neurodiversity as a social model, neurodivergent traits being a natural part of human variation, maintain the use of medical labels like Autism?

Should have done this year's ago.

Cities should be property developers.

Protect rental housing and ensure appropriate units for young families.

When did this idea that there are "safe" communities on the internet emerge?

Millennial here, internet launched in my lifetime, never has there been an online forum/community that didn't have a level of toxicity.

It's not good, it's the internet.

Netflix mini series idea. The protagonist, a young male working in silicon valley.

One night he breaks into a "brain corp" and has an AI surgically implanted into his brain.

The series continues as a comedy devolving to black mirror as his AI led prompts lead from funny situations to dangerous.
