As a retired Presbyterian Pastor for 30 yrs, these words ring true.They remind me of Søren Kierkegaard's image of the circus clown telling the audience the big tent is on fire only to have them laugh.The louder and more animated the clown becomes the more they laugh. In the end they die in the fire.
