hot take. ai has been extremely helpful in the academic, research, and production of books. but a lot of people aren't interested in it or use it for anything other than "writing" and nothing more. we can stop using it.

"Hot take": AI should not be marketed or demonized at all levels. It's being used by the US to run their energy companies…

Hot take: if you want to get on the AI bandwagon and write in the style of "AI Art" and "AI Generated" and "AI Generated Art", you need to learn how to write in that style. The term doesn't mean "AI art" or "AI generated", it means anything but that.

Hot take: all AI art is like a highschool art class that sucks and sucks and sucks.

Hot take: The 10% AI problem is not going away. It's not going away at the scale that it's happening in healthcare. It's going away because of the way the world's already grown so rich. 🤑

No, no, no.

The hot take here is that the only issue with AI is not having it exist as we know it but actually using it as we know it

Hot take: I can't stand this whole AI thing but I understand it's just being used to make games for entertainment. If that means AI can't make games anymore... well that's another one to leave to future gen.

Hot take. I can barely use an LLM to write a rough draft, but writing an AI draft is a total goddamn feat of AI.
January 7, 2026 at 6:08 AM
This isn't a hot take. I use ai to help out at work. I write essays, but there are other people who have to look up stuff.

My "hot take" is: if your writing and research skills can be improved at the expense of your own health (that's what I have to do when I'm on call to support at our company), t

hot take from everyone: the real AI that we've seen this decade isn't coming, its just the new and latest type of AI that it's going to keep adding to our lives

Hot take: It's not an AI problem... It’s an AI problem.

It’s that people expect to be able to read like a man, and that’s not a thing that can be taught. It can’t’t be taught. It needs to be learned.
January 7, 2026 at 3:07 AM
Hot take: I don't see why this or any tech company is going to use AI because they are too afraid of the backlash. As for the people who are really bad and really against AI, I think they aren't good people. They are just scared.
January 7, 2026 at 2:07 AM
hot take: I don't think it should be illegal to make AI art, let alone steal it!
January 7, 2026 at 1:07 AM
My next hot take is that it's actually bad to use a generative AI to write the "official" draft for your "official" draft.
Because the only thing actually "official" is the draft you wrote, so it's not what you wrote.

I don’t know if this is a hot take or a cool one, but LLMs are not really good at writing.

So I’m looking at a lot of my own work and it’s really annoying that I’ve been giving up on my dreams because I’m stuck in the AI world. I hope to God the technology will improve.

Hot take. AI is a horrible tool but I find it's easier (albeit awkward) to work with "AI" that a person's mental faculties. In terms of actual tasks I think, the better my mental faculties are, the easier it is to do it.

🔥 Hot Take 🔥

We are going to live in a world where we take super easy AI shortcuts, like "my AI hot take is…" and just click and type it out and it’s instantly published by AI.

That is just one of the many ways we are going to live in a world that isn’t just a few steps away from artificial genera

Hot take: Even when they are used in serious ways, AI generative tools are not useful any more, and will likely be supplanted by more helpful tools made by human brains. (This is less a “hot take” and more an observation.)
January 6, 2026 at 1:38 PM
Hot take: You don't have to be a genius to be an AI model.

My guess is that, by 2008-2009, any tech that was at least moderately effective would have already been replaced by other AI tools.

That's a fact that is going to change in the next few years, and when that happens, we will need a better
January 6, 2026 at 12:38 PM
so hot take: I don’t think many companies do AI stuff because it’s not a sustainable enough business model to be profitable and I think that the AI crowd just won’t understand anything the rest of us really don’t understand
January 6, 2026 at 11:37 AM
Hot take: AI is going to destroy the art world (and the internet itself) because it will replace people who care about their image. Artists are about as rare as they are in most parts of the world. It's sad but it's inevitable.
January 6, 2026 at 10:37 AM
Hot take: there is absolutely no evidence AI was used, and it wouldn’t have been if we weren’t so enamoured with its impact through the years.

I have not come across anything in the news that proves that AI was used. Not a thing.
January 6, 2026 at 9:37 AM
Hot take: The best way to see if an AI generated product is not just garbage or just boring (which is what it gets) is to read and write about it.
January 6, 2026 at 8:37 AM
hot take: AI generated content is only as good as the person who makes it
January 6, 2026 at 7:37 AM
Hot take but if you want AI to do your job then you can’t be an asshole as the only good ones are those who aren’t assholes but can be just as shitty, and AI isn’t one of them.
