He also claimed the city would have been “obliterated” without the National Guard. That’s utterly absurd. The Guard did nothing during yesterday’s protests, they stood outside the federal building where ICE detainees were being held.

Although I have not been on active duty for 50 years, I am a US Marine and this sickens me to the point of tears.
