So the other point of the video is discussing the limits the show was forced to operate under. Like how they wanted to introduce a gay character in 1991, but that didn't end up happening until 2017. Lots of great info in this video tbh. Jack did amazing research

That's part of the point of the video, to highlight the progressive things that have been happening all along. But also as a show that aired during the height of the AIDS crisis (it's closer to 40 years old), there were also societal limits, things people would've complained about in stricter times
