It’s been a fast-paced journey building mobile experiences at this scale. Grateful for the smart people I get to work with every day.

Software used to be simple because you built it once and it scaled for near zero marginal cost. AI changes the math since every token costs money. I am trying to figure out if there is a layer of system design I am missing or if everyone is just eating the cost.

Training models locally on mobile devices could be a big shift towards designing adaptive systems that learn offline. The hardware constraints are humbling but the privacy benefits make this architectural puzzle worth solving.

After years of shipping apps, I realize mobile is becoming a systems design problem. When you decouple UI via server-driven schemas and use AI to handle boilerplate, you aren’t just coding faster, you’re bypassing release cycle bottlenecks. We aren’t building screens anymore, we’re building engines.

Why I’ve switched to Gemini for research:

Gemini: “I checked the sources. That is incorrect.”

ChatGPT: “You are absolutely right! The moon is made of cheese, and here is a fake poem I just wrote to prove it.”

I need a fact-checker, not a hype man.
