UN seeks $1.42B to expand humanitarian operations in Somalia, according to OCHA. Almost 6m people are in need of assistance next year. Most of these people are victims of conflict and climate shocks - droughts and floods.

EU has extended its mission against piracy in Somalia for 2 years following a dramatic increase of Somali pirates. The renewed mandate strengthens operations role in maritime security across the Somali coast and parts of the Red Sea. The mission will focus on fighting piracy and illegal trafficing.

ICC has issued arrest warrants for Israel's PM & former defence minister. The US has rejected the ICC decision. However, the EU said it should be respected. The court also has given a warrant arrest a Hamas military commander. Member countries of the ICC will decide to enforce the decision or not.
