The hike to Tiger's Nest is only a 10k hike, round-trip, but it starts at an altitude of 2601 meters and goes up to 3,144 meters. That's 716 meters of elevation gain in just 5k. The whole place feels otherworldly, especially when you walk through a waterfall into the temple.

In Bhutan, phalluses are used to ward away evil. And let's just say there must not be any evil anywhere close to Lobesa!

The Bhutan national museum in Paro has some of the coolest traditional masks I've ever seen.

The AR Čiurlionis exhibit in Vilnius is no doubt on the coolest things I've ever done. It's like sailing through several paintings, with an excellent score.

The last time I saw Mogwai was in Edinburgh at the Liquid Room in 97 or 98. They are so good live though. I won't wait 30 more years to see them again!

Some of these are for research, admittedly, but I'm still excited to read them.

Really excited to read through these. Not for a project. Just because they look awesome.

There are a lot of great books nominated for an Ennie this year, but how many of them have a cover that pays homage to Joy Division and a list of media that includes Kramer vs. Kramer? We appreciate any votes you send our way in the Best Long Adventure category.

Got a new review for my book Empire of the Undead for the first time in 9 years! The complaint is fair, although for a zombie book set in the Roman Empire, is a lot of violence a surprise?

A Cave Junction classic, where you can be Donald Duck, but not Mickey Mouse.

Next year will be the ten year anniversary of Chaos Gods Come to Meatlandia. And, yeah, we're going to do something pretty special for it.
