i think, the parent is consciousness here, as in that is where this "what's this evolutionarily good for?" question really starts, anything associated with it then bleeds in different ways via cuts from the same knife

caffeine withdrawal is about to shave some serious compute cycles off this month but im definitely reading things after this so i agree, hell yeah

what prompted this? seems like you have a really specific group of people in mind here

frankly the subjects to me are irrelevant, i take life threatening amounts of caffeine during the exam week and get it done and have been doing that for a while, the last enjoyable thing i did was a deep dive on the jones polynomial but that still has some loose ends which i have to tie up

oh, i also think that's most things but couldn't think of counterexamples so i figured might as well ask...

yeah im bad at phrasing things, i meant things that are generally pleasant enough to guide your attention towards them consistently
