That's why I'm initiating this movement. As a funeral director, I want to be able to provide this option to my families. As a human being, I want to be able to choose alkaline hydrolysis for myself in the future.

Alkaline hydrolysis is legal in 25 U.S. states. There is no legislation in many other U.S. states, including VA. Because funeral service is highly regulated, legislation must exist in order for alkaline hydrolysis to be available.

If powered by alternative energy sources, alkaline hydrolysis has the potential to provide a net positive effect on the environment.
It's one way to give back to the earth that has given so much to us, to literally transform loss into renewal.

Salts & hot water are used to simulate a natural process, reducing the body to 1) a sanitary, nutrient-rich effluent that can be reserved for fertilizer or released into the public sanitation system, & 2) cremated remains that the family may choose to keep, scatter, or inter.
