A good day today. Met a friend for coffee & cake. I’ve not seen them for ages, as they’ve been abroad. It was lovely to get out and have a catch up. The chocolate cake was good too! 😂

I remember in Bristol in the 70s the pop man coming round in a lorry. All sorts of flavours. It was Corona in glass bottles and you got some money back when you returned the bottles.

It started at the V&A in London & then toured the world. I couldn’t get to London at the time it was on, so my friend very kindly got tickets & paid for the Berlin trip as a birthday present. One of the video exhibits was a huge screen playing the Starman TOTP performance. That was quite a moment!

t’s a game, been around for many years. There is a plastic mule and you have to take turns adding things to it, such as a spade, a bucket etc, until it’s overloaded at which point it kicks out its legs, sending everything flying.

Just received this on my phone. First I’ve received since the government ran a test some years ago and I’d forgotten they could send them. I’ve just about recovered from the racket my phone made when it was received. Looks like it’s going to be another grim weekend.

This is where I went for lunch yesterday. It’s called The Sweeney, it’s Georgian, originally a country house, it’s now a restaurant and bar with rooms. Also, a photo of the lunch, so you can see a Yorkshire pudding! 😁
