It is insane to me that the government can find money to pay ICE agents increasingly larger sums of money, yet teachers have to buy their own pencils.

Trump has ordered the Bureau of Prisons to reopen Alcatraz. I'm sure it's because he thinks it makes him sound tough.
Alcatraz was closed in 1963 because it was too expensive to operate. I guess we can afford it now since we're getting rid of cancer research.
