Yep, time to buy again. The stock market is a fickle thing indeed. Can't the "professionals" see the strong long term position Rivian is in? I guess there's always some risk involved. But I'm confident in Rivian's long term future.

I love the idea of better range and quieter ride, but I still want the ability of some beefy AT tires to handle doing dumb stuff off-road on the weekends. The Defender LTX's look like road only tires. I'd love a tire that had the road performance of the LTX, but durability of a proper AT tire.

This is the real world info I needed. The KO3's have been on my short list. But range is a big concern. I have a 256 mile trip I make a few times a month (all freeway @80 mph). I can just barely make it without a charging stop in ideal conditions. What's the best alternative AT tire?

Any word on what’s in it? When do we get cruise control resume functionality? That was mentioned a while ago and seems like an ear fix.

But the bZ4X is such a horrible car. We rented one from Hertz (managers special). Never again. And we own a Tesla and Rivian. We only drive EV’s. If the bZ4X is someone’s first experience with an EV they’ll write them off for good. It’s a horrible car.

I’ve been debating doing the same. Have you tried a full bootable restore with CCC yet? TM has been slow, but it’s always worked for me for full restores.

Yes, the tax credit didn’t exist when we purchased our Model 3 Performance. I’d still do it again.

What about expanded map coverage for Gen 1? Out better yet, remove the map requirement totally for basic lane keeping.

Yes. At the very least EV chargers need to be at gas stations with minimarts and the usual facilities. We’re past the point where a charger in the back of a deserted parking lot is acceptable.

Running boards or rock sliders? I love my rock sliders. All the benefits of running boards but with real protection. You also get the benefit of making it easy to jack the truck up, no need for pucks. Sliders are totally worth the extra cost, even if you don’t do serious off-roading (I do).

There are definitely some discrepancies. I’ve noticed several DC fast chargers in our area that are available to Rivian, that don’t show up in the truck but do show up in ABRP.

One big difference, the power train warranty on the Gravity is only 100k vs 150k on the Rivian. That says a lot about expected life span. But besides that I’d go Rivian for the adventure off-road ethos vs the minivan style of the Lucid.

Nice update. I’m glad to see Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) Charging is still on the future checklist.

Idaho is still there. 👍

Wait, shouldn’t new mapped roads apply to gen 1 too? How is that a gen 2 only thing?

Here’s another great design I’ve been using for the past year. If you don’t have a 3d printer check out OpenSourceEV.com, they make some good stuff.

Keep engaging, and the people will follow. But it might be helpful to remind X users they can follow you on Bsky.

The difficulty is knowing which accounts you follow on X have made the move to Bsky. I wish there was a migration utility to sync your following list somehow.
