a solid collection of SMB1, Lost Levels, Special, and All Night Nippon all ported to a modern engine with mario maker physics and lots of modern QOL improvements. also brings over the extra content from SMB Deluxe, plus new ones for the the other games. it's neat!

farming games aren't really my thing but it also has a bit of bugsnax in there so there was enough to keep my interest, but it still didn't do much for me. there's a LOT of tedious back and forth and all the actually useful farming options are locked until late game. it's alright

more focused than season 1, but also more of a slow burn. there were some pretty great character moments and a pretty solid ongoing sort of mystery plot, and the finale was really satisfying, but i think season 1 might have been stronger, having a bit more variety to it

it's like if you took a rhythm heaven minigame and stretched it out into a full game, it's pretty neat! though "full game" might be a bit misleading, it only took an hour to beat and there's not much side content to get your money's worth, and i paid $40 for this. Lol.

this game is super cute and charming and absolutely has the sauce that made moon so lovable, but it's unfortunately a big downgrade in gameplay from moon. it's way more repetitive and punishing, often discouraging the kind of eperimentation that made moon fun. i'm very mixed on this one
