Is total state school funding dependant on pupil numbers, or is the DfE pot fixed by the treasury?

The point of the article was to suggest that as a result of higher than predicted (by the treasury) fee rises, more pressure than expected would be put on state schools (by more pupils being forced to leave private). Q for government: will this amount to a net benefit to state pupils and teachers?

Not bad, but no longer good enough as the backup for Arsenal, would you agree?
