Have been following this man for years. He’s brilliant! Used to live in France and the hardest adjustment on coming to Ireland was the appalling train service…TGV Bordeaux to Paris-2 hours. Waterford to Dublin, about 1/4 of the distance, 2 hours on a rickety train (and no coffee).

Interesting point. A well-known writer who shall remain nameless once told me he/she never reads books written recently. I found that odd, but I suppose if you are successful you don’t need to be influenced. And you keep your own voice.

We need to encourage local bookshops to stock self-published books (I know you’ve said this on another platform, but no harm repeating it). Unfortunately A-zon is one of the few resources for many self-published authors. A shout out to buythebook.ie who do a great job.
