I think Utd try to get older as they think the team needs a core group so the young players can develop without so much pressure. In theory thats ok imo but the price will be a very high portion of our budget. We desperatly need CMs and a forward. Now we probable need sales for these positions 🤦🏼‍♂️(3)

If Amad does not develop as hoped, you can try to upgrade to a better player but still have Mbeumo in your squad as a decent option.
But I think
1. the budget would be spent better on other positions (CF, CM)
2. Amad & Mbeumo would be both away at AFCON

regarding Mbeumo:
If your really want to upgrade the R10 spot now then the deal would only make sense, if they think Amad has a higher sealing than Mbeumo. So he can develop while Mbeumo can currently make us better. As you guys said he would be one of our best FW (1)

In an ideal world the experience players help the young kids to perform on a higher level (like in city atm)
RA once said at a press conference: the team crys for leaders. I think it’s too much to ask a young kid to lead MU on the pitch.

I do believe they are Champions League XI level players.
IMO: If they are good PL players they are to 100% good CL players.

1. we bought many attackers from other leagues -> all of them struggled in the first (half of the) season
2. We do already have a core of young attacking players (Garnacho, Diallo, (Mainoo?), Obi)
3. he looks like a character on the pitch and we are missing exactly this (3)

Another factor is the physicality he will bring to this team which this team lacks a lot. I don‘t buy the „he is a second rashford who wont track back“ agenda. He was at RB and Athletico Madrid.

The price tag is a big concern yes.
But imo there are 3 mitigating reasons (2)

I think a really big pro is that he is good at receiving and turning with his back to goal and that could improve our game a lot. Garnacho, Hojlund, Fernandes are all not too comfortable in this. (yes fernandes imroved it but is still not really good at it)
