Today is the 11th day of the 11th month. We remember the horror and foolishness of war. As we remember the 1914-18 “war to end all wars” pray for those suffering in Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan and elsewhere.

When Jesus is asked how to achieve “eternal life” he doesn’t reply “be religious”, Instead, he tells us that we will be judged by our compassion to the poor, widows, the hungry and those who have been attacked and beaten. Jesus preaches tolerance, community and love. Christians must remember this!

Very sad news! Spurgeon’s College in London has closed suddenly leaving staff unemployed and students mid study. My prayers go especially to the amazing lecturers and admin staff who have served so faithfully.
