We are the biology technicians at Aylesbury Grammar School. Mrs L & Mrs G, ladies over the age of 21 with a well developed sense of the ridiculous - a necessity in our job.
Mrs T took some pictures of Mrs G and the Marmite Sandwich Demo yesterday.

Food tests are fully underway. These are for Yr 8. Yr 12 are also doing it.

Blending down grapes & chicken for food tests. Add plenty of water so it gives further & doesn't get so stuck - easier to wash up.

This micro Lego kit was a present from one of our leaving Yr13 lads. It's has required several hours and some dubious taking in vain the name of the student responsible, but now it's done. The dome is on and it now has pride of place in our window.

Our @breckland-sci.bsky.social thermometer shows why we are melting in the Prep room already. Fortunately, the Exams team just turned up with some fans they borrowed. Not a minute too soon!

Many thanks to the lovely folk at SirHenryFloyd for allowing us to raid their pond for daphnia. They have a duck, too, but this one was happy for us to be there.
June 23, 2025 at 10:45 AM
We were unable to get any Daphnia from our pond this morning but it was for the very best of surprises...

Still working well, despite being museum age! Much like us, really. 😜

Gary and his snail chums are outside on the flat roof. The teacher giving them a new home is on a trip so can't take them for a few days. Old quadrats used for safety.

Remember the smell I couldn't post? This is how we deal with it. The candle on the left is from an AGS Young Enterprise Company a year or two ago. #TECHOGNITION @breckland-sci.bsky.social @techognition.bsky.social @sls-se.bsky.social
