As much as I love CSS, CZ, and 1.6, GO had the right amount of L4D2 DNA to make it really click... and now it's just gone :l all so Valve's precious skin market wouldn't be affected by CS2's release. What a damn shame.

Maan, I feel you so much. I used to play mostly alternative gamemodes like surf, bhop, coop maps, and ROGUE (the extremely impressive and cool roguelike someone made using vscript), and Valve just zapped all that out of existence. Can't even have Classic Offensive because Valve killed that too.
