Hey, maybe there's a chance if he thinks everyone will smoke and forget about Epste*n?

Something no one is talking about in the Hemp language: R F K jr gets to set the terms?

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, this is bad news.

Because he's demonstrated time and time again he doesn't understand biology. Especially human biology. So why would he be an expert in plant biology?

Did I miss #trichedouttuesday again?

Here's some landrace trichs for your #weedwednesday!

Found a frosty pheno of Purple Zacatecas. Lovely citrus terps. Small buds, but looks like they will wash well.

#TrichedOutTuesday

Does anyone have that guilty pleasure strain that doesn't yield but you keep growing it because it slaps?

This is mine. A Bacio S1 pheno. Grape gas candy.

It's #MetalMonday 🤘

What's more metal that using the 15 foot skeleton of last year's cannabis plant as a trellis for this year's hops?

I wanted to bring the Sorachi Ace hops in the #CannabaceaeGarden out from the fence line for more light exposure.

So far, so good

Cannabis pangenome reveals potential for medicinal and industrial use
Cannabis has been a globally important crop for millennia. While best known today as marijuana for its psychoactive cannabinoid THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), historically, cannabis has been a cornerston...

🚨 Landrace Cannabis Sequencing Alert!

Columbian researchers have sequenced and assembled a "Punto Rojo" genome.

"In the 60s and 70s, illicit shipments of Type I (THC-dominant) Punto Rojo found favor among American consumers due to its special effects, which were thought to be more psychedelic"

Mark my words, someone in the Chicago cannabis market is going to name a strain "Leo XIV"

Or at the very least, "Da Pope"

Introducing the cannabis starting lineup for #CannabaceaeGarden 2025.

From left to right:

Strawberry Guava from Bloom - fruity hash dumper.

Bacio Gelato (#41) from Atlas Seed - purple, candy, gas.

Juicy CBD from Colin Clark - dank OJ and a frost monster

A CBD:THC type 2 bred by yours truly.

My fav pheno from a Bacio hunt

What do y'all think?

She needed an extra week compared to the others and has lovely deep red to almost black anthos in leaves

Gotta say this one has strong gas and funky grape and candy aroma. ☑️

Stress your plants to bring out the terps? Depends...

A new preprint from Israeli researchers tested drought stress on secondary metabolites in three THC strains.

Welcome to "Idiocracy" 💯

My heart is BROKEN seeing all of my brilliant scientist colleagues that have been fired in the last couple of days.

USDA, NIH, Forest Service, CDC, National Park Service... the list goes on and on.

Just some purple trichomes
February 11, 2025 at 2:16 PM
Do you see pink/purple in the first picture?

If so it's entirely from purple trichome heads!

It's a bit of an optical illusion/snow globe diffraction effect. The basal/secretory cells are the only part that are making anthocyanins in this one - but the whole bud appears purple when mature!

Cool cool cool. Just jamming the gears of all in process trials and experiments.

And in true fascist fashion, scientists are "forbidden to speak with the media" about what is happening.

Worth a read. Time to return to seed

Another reason to grow cannabis in soil - not sterile Rockwool or Coco while drip tubing synthetic fertilizer like a coma patient hooked up to a feeding tube.

The cannabis microbiome is usually overlooked entirely in indoor setups.

A new study from Danish researchers performed cryo-EM on the CB1 receptor bound to HU-210.

HU-210 is essentially THCP with a modified carbon tail. It is 100-800X more potent than THC at CB1. (Intoxicating hempsters - please, please don't start selling this because you will actually kill people).

If it's all about the terps, some UV light may help.

A new study from German researchers showed a small dose of UVA can increase common terpenes in a type 3 plant (CBD) trialed.

However, it could come at the cost of Cannabinoids and other agronomic metrics like yield.

Ever seen hop trichomes under a microscope? Now you have! #trichedouttuesday

Hops are the closest relatives to cannabis. Their trichomes are also where all the goodies are. I grow both in my #CannabaceaeGarden
