I made the exact same transition you’re talking about. Had color blotches appear on my cx and it went bad. Go with the C3, you’re not losing anything to these newer models and the display is fantastic. I’ve had the C3 for about 6 months now and love it.

DS2 actually has a pretty good efficient catch up storybook in the main menu you can do. It’s simple and to the point so you can get started right away

@gameovergreggy.bsky.social thanks for mentioning that combat skip option, i had grown tired of the combat and i was at chapter 7. I started skipping all combat except the bosses from that point on and my enjoyment of the game increased considerably.
