This is such an awful story, and more confirmation that patriarchal expectations of female modesty / "decency" - which transcend many cultures, but tend to be more prominent in religious ones - are toxic and deadly.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.
