✅ It is crucial to align agri & forestry interventions in the NRP with the #bioeconomy and #agriculture tools under the 🇪🇺 Competitiveness Fund and research funding under Horizon Europe. This way new bioeconomy value chains can offer farmers new income while supporting climate & biodiversity goals.

✅ It is crucial to align agri & forestry interventions in the NRP with the #bioeconomy and #agriculture tools under the 🇪🇺 Competitiveness Fund and research funding under Horizon Europe. This way new bioeconomy value chains can offer farmers new income while supporting climate & biodiversity goals.
✅ Co-financing rates can also become a lever - by requiring Member State co-financing for area-based and coupled income support, while offering higher EU co-financing for ambitious environmental and climate measures.

➡️ For the CAP, one thing is clear: the proposal does not exploit the opportunity to turn sustainability into a business case for #farmers. Its shrunk budget can still be very much tied to area-based income support with little societal value.
