On a bizarre note, Haliphax appears to be getting younger. I think the school had some strange hex on him stealing his life, and now that he's away his body is recovering. He gets very testy about it when we ask him what is happening. I wonder if there is something darker happening

And then....Inspector Eccentric CALLOW shows up at the house. This man is like the freaking plague. I don't even know why he's so concerned about what happened last night. He's just too nosey.

The best thing about all of Reyes revelations is that no one is bugging me to go over what happened last night. I want to move on and I want to find Scarlet and make sure she's safe.

He told us about that debonair Lionel that I went on a date with hours before is actually an old boss in the notorious crime family that runs the Wraiths. He let me go on a DATE with a dangerous criminal!!!

Reyes showed compassion last night. He kept us all together after what happened. And then this morning he dropped a bombshell. He actually is, or was, a thief. He told us how he worked for a crime group called the Faceless Wraiths. And how he tried to leave them.

The group is divided. That being that hurt me can't be Scarlet. She raised me. She kept me safe. She wouldn't hurt me. What hurt me was a demon, something that could take other's forms. My brain hurts from trying to make sense of the situation.

It wasn't Lysander, but a demon that had tricked me. The demon started drinking my life force while I called out for help. Thankfully people heard me and showed up in the room. Everyone says the demon was Scarlet, but I think the demon took Scarlet's form to get in the house.

Then Lysander showed up at the house, drunk and trying to confess his love for me. He swoops me up and carries me off to the bedroom. He's all over me on the way upstairs, but once the door closes the mood changes. He growls, becomes forceful and changes form.

A couple hours later I tried to talk to him to apologize but he literally dove out a window to avoid talking to me. That man needs some therapy. Afterwards Scarlet showed up at the house. She and I spent a few bottles of wine catching up.

I tried to tell Reyes what I learned about Lionel on our walk. But he tried to grill me like a suspect in a murder trial. I gave him a stern warning and he stormed off like a little kid.

After my walk I went to Reyes home. He and Haliphax were apparently in some sort of disagreement. Haliphax actually accused Mr Rule-Follower Reyes of being in a thieves guild. I just can't even imagine! That man loves the law too much to be a thief.

Lionel asked me to go on a walk after this happened. Reyes and Haliphax weren't happy I said yes. I took Cork with me as backup. Apparently that wasn't good enough because Reyes made Lysander leave his gig and follow me. Lionel asked me to his home but I politely declined this time.

I met a stunning and magical man at the Pixie tonight. Lionel Essen. It seems his family is quite deeply connected to the city, and he's back in town after a long absence. While having a drink with him a young man tried to stab him! Can you believe it?!

At the Pickled Pixie, Haliphax filled us in on the new guards. Apparently the town mayor invited the guards without the knowledge or consent of the king. He wants more guards to look for the people starting fires, which were more frequent while I was gone. I guess Reyes was wrong about me :)

I got some one-on-one time with Scarlet when I went home to grab some fresh clothes. She and I have so much catching up to do. I think we need a girls night, but we'll have to be careful with all the new guards in town.

Before we left the station Reyes, poor lonely Reyes, asked us all to join him at his home for the evening. I think Korlus staying in Harveststone has really set a depression on Reyes. I will stay with him, but everyone else declined. I should talk to them about his mental state.

Lysander, being the Bard he is, charm d one of these guards (members of the Chancellery guards I later found out) and plans to meet him at the Pickled Pixie to show off his "talents".

After another, less adventurous, tour of the Bloomfield estate. And then we decided to make our way back to Wonderhulm. Arriving at the West Gate station we were met by new guards, wearing light grey leather covered in ceramic plate that made sounds similar to a cricket.

We met with the High Lord of Harveststone after dousing the demon fires. He was cordial, and very thankful for our service, but I think he paid us much less than he would another adventuring party. We each got gifts as well, mine was a brilliant flame ruby that provides protection from fire.

Oh my friends, what a chaotic number of days we've had! Firstly, we have returned to Wonderhulm, and if I haven't seen you recently, know I will visit soon! To all my staff at the grappling arena, I hope things have been smooth without me.

Seven more fonts of fire and crystals around the room. Trying to remove them all, carefully, while fighting literal demons. Demons that knew about me and my deal. And spilled the beans in front of Reyes. I'm sure I will have to get a lecture from him later.

Each smashed crystal destabilized the much larger circle that we found and would cause waves of damaging energy. Oh and did I mention that there was a demon in the center of the circle, and more imps. Geez I don't know how all that got in on these dwarves without notice.

The fire flowed from the runic circle down the stairs and into the room. Hotter than lava but contained and with purpose. Haliphax determined that we could remove the crystal and it would shut down the fire. Unfortunately the crystal magic can make you smash it, which is bad.

Floor four started on a grand staircase leading to the old city forge. The room filled with smoke and ash made finding our way difficult. Half way down the stairs we encountered a small circle of runes, curious in nature. Inside was a crystal and an intense fire, under pressure.
