Does the contemporary art world have an elitism problem? Is it alienating the general public, leading to empty galleries?
I ponder these questions in this controversial essay. Please send me your comments.

This memoir and still-life photography by Shawna Lemay are gentle yet hard-hitting political commentary. It's an unusual combination: Trump's junk food fest among luscious flowers.

This artist has turned the street into his gallery, and his politically motivated work is left for people to collect. I hope you enjoy reading about him as much as I loved writing it!

There are days you can't cope with all the bad news and/or family crises. If you are having one of those moments –especially if you work in the visual arts– then pick up this memoir. It left me feeling stronger, happier and more in control of my life.

If you share my fascination with the hidden and often marginalized outsider art genre, this book is a must-read! The author didn’t limit her research to libraries; she rummaged in garbage cans and flea markets to uncover remarkable artists.

Our team, Ingrid, myself and Perter asked neighbourhood children to submit drawings of friendly monsters. I modified them in Affinity Photo, and they were stencilled onto a crosswalk. Our McKernan Community League then gave each child a T-shirt. The world needs more friendly monsters :)

Edmonton artist almost magically brings back these humble prairie settler women's lives back to life. They didn't expect that anyone would ever look at their diaries when they passed away. Here they are, nearly alive, resilient and as pertinent as ever.

This is a uniquely funny book filled with scathing art criticim but ending with a love story... for art.
