trying to find the “right” term can come across as overly careful or even tacky. Instead, I’d suggest just describing the hair type or style directly. For example, you could say, “My friend has curls,” or “They have straight hair,” without tying it to a specific group. It feels more natural. 3/3

Hair textures and styles exist on a spectrum, and while cultural identity matters, labeling hair as specifically “Black” or “ethnic” can feel reductive if, the intent isn’t to be disrespectful, 2/3

I’m sorry, but I giggled like a hyena at this. For context, I’m Black and Italian.
The real issue, in my opinion, isn’t whether you say “ethnic hair” or “Black people’s hair.” It’s the need to create this binary between “Black hair” and “non-Black hair” in the first place. 1/3

So excited for Kingdom Come 2, this game was a breath of fresh air and made on Cry Engine which was unheard-of to me at the time cool to learn about the history of the period too.
