The spot price did go that high momentarily. But the article does not seem to mention the countless times that the spot price goes negative. Like today at 2am, a price of £-1,144.69/Mwh.

Looking at the week ahead, I'm afraid that it all looks very calm and quiet (read: expensive)... that is until Friday, when we are going to get absolutely hammered by a storm (see video), with another on its tail coming Monday.
