Just as gender-based liberation cannot happen without addressing class, you cannot address class issues (namely the way the extremely rich exploit the poor) while completely ignoring issues of gender.

It would behoove a lot of these newer (cishet male) political commentators to keep this in mind.

I know we all sometimes use memes as shorthand to express our feelings.

But given the gravity here, imo we owe it to survivors and victims to NOT post the latest reaction clip/meme and a glib, throwaway comment.

This is mainly aimed at cishet white dudes who are making "political content" and positioning themselves as progressive and left leaning.

It's ironic that my mother swans around proclaiming herself to be "not like other (Chinese) mother-in-laws" who treat their child's spouse poorly, when quite frankly she's every ounce as disrespectful and entitled.

I'm done trying to be honest. It's embarrassing (his parents always remember my birthday) and makes me feel ashamed.
