Max quickly snapping his fist back from a punch so fast and hard, it created a visible shockwave. His poor victim was a basic Zack bot's midsection, exploding in a spray of sparks, wires, gears, and springs. That move probably saved Max from being shot in the face.

Why just add a thing, when you can redesign the whole character around it?
Sketch page for a slim humanoid robot. Details include knee plates that conceal the hinge, oversized gauntlets that are stowed on the thighs to give the appearance of baggy shorts on spindly legs, segmented pauldrons, and extending scorpion tail connected to a power pack. Has mostly triangular shape language except for the gauntlets. A diagram shows how it changes the silhouette when deployed/stowed.

Endlessly amusing to me the amount of times I go out of my way to place details that get covered up anyway.

Sebastian and Iris, embracing each other in the aftermath of a fight of some kind, one that Iris clearly lost. Her hat, his helmet, and his weapons are strewn about... and her legs. Oil splatters everywhere from the severed robotic parts and is starting to pool beneath them. The hand she still has is clawing into his armor. This was to improve her hair and make it closer to how roughly I draw it in my sketches, as opposed to the clean smooth bezier hair she had so far. First time intentionally working with voxel remeshing as well, which wasn't great tbh.
Iris's long hair is slightly shorter, and made up of tubes that taper smoothly here. Between this and the main post I also sharpened the shoulders of her coat and shifted the pin on her hat to the front.

Pet peeve time. You can explain this one a thousand different ways and I'll agree they're all valid, but I will still lock on to that detail and get icked out.
It's the middle and ring fingers.
One takes active effort, the other feels natural when you actually do it.
A hand splayed out and reaching. Where all the other fingers are spread and extended along their natural paths, the middle and ring fingers are pressed up against each other. Same hand at the same angle, but now the middle and ring fingers are going their natural directions.
