5/10 Before the End: You’ve Found Oliver by Dustin Thao.

I’ll start off by saying I adore his other two books. They brought very real and visceral feelings from me where I was full body sobbing. I expected this to do the same to me and I think now that I’ve sat on it all day I can admit that this-

And because it didn’t hold my hand with the recap I just got it downloaded on Libby and jumped into the last book! I felt this was really slow in the middle because it felt weird to get the info dump of the backstory now rather than over the course of the three books. I liked the conclusion overall.

4/10 before the end! The Obelisk Gate by NK Jemisin. It had been a little over the year since the first book and this did not hold your hand in a recap and I struggled. Ultimately I did like the plot development but I was still a bit confused with the storytelling. 3.5 ⭐️ #booksky

Forgot to post! 3/10 Before the End finished a couple days ago! I adored Bride and this lived up to my expectations with Hazelwood’s writing. This duology caught me off guard with the serious topics and this one had that dose of silliness I enjoyed. 4.5⭐️ #booksky

2/10 for 10 Before the End! This brings the end to the Howl’s Moving Castle books. This one was chaotically funny but I wish we got to see more of the house and how it works instead of Charmaine’s annoying attempt to come of age. I do think this would’ve been an interesting movie though! #booksky

Then I finished this cute little Brick Craft. This took like two seconds and it’s so damn cute.

1/10 for the 10 Before the End channeled and I started with a BANGER! I love the Cafae Latte skits & backed without a second thought when the KS went live. This didn’t disappoint and I’m so excited to see what the future holds. It’s a bit different from the skits, but in a great way. #booksky

Mom got me a book nook for Christmas last year before learning I was not interested in these kinds of crafts (she has a mindset that I’m very crafty when I’m not). This took a hot minute but it’s finally done! It’s a bit janky in places but just thank the gods it’s done. Very cute end result tho.

I also finally managed to clean up my area enough to pick my 10 Before the End books! First up is Heart of Iron by CM Alongi and so far I’m really liking it. Not sure which one will be next from this stack yet.

Finally got to The Jada’s Heir! This had a slow start but I really loved the build up to the world and the romance. I’m curious to see how the magic system will develop since she’s spent 11 years without it. 4⭐️ ! #booksky

They’re hereeeeee! I’m very excited that my loot from @cmalongi.bsky.social came in today! The posters arrived as well but I’m protecting them from the cat (they’re so nice!!) very excited to read Heart of Iron! Now I need to find a safe place for the scarf. 🥰

Literally finished this 30 minutes ago and UGH. I loved it! I need book 2 now. This was a @binderybooks.bsky.social acquisition by @emmaskies.bsky.social . I don’t believe RA Basu has a 🦋 since I couldn’t find it. TBwM did have a little bit of a slow start, but once we got into the political drama-

I also realized I forgot to note that I finished this book! 107 Days by Kamala Harris. It was a bit scattered at times but it was an interesting read of her campaigning for 107 days. 3.75⭐️ from me. #booksky It’s also a solid reminder of what we could’ve had and to not stop fighting.

HAPPY NEWS! My mom helped me search the area a couple more times and she found the last piece! We suspect I dropped it and her cat batted it off without me knowing. But it’s done!! Now I’m in the process of mod podging it to be framed.

The beautiful fairy loot puzzle is done! But as you can see, much to my absolute anger and dismay, it’s missing ONE PIECE. I contacted them to see if it can be fixed but I don’t think it can’t since this was for the May 2025 box. I’m so frustrated I think I’m just gonna quit for now.

And my official Lego flowers (the cherry blossoms) are DONE! Just need to get my hands on another vase, build it, and separate my flowers to be more cohesive. These were so simple and I really liked it!

Onto the Fairyloot puzzle I got a few months ago!

Cold Hearted by Heather Guerre took me about a year to find and this was well worth the hunt! I honestly really enjoyed this and I love that the werewolf aspect was more background until the end when the plot was coming together. This was sweet and the found family always makes me tear up. #booksky

Next is my first official Lego! Kinda nervous about it, I picked something that looked somewhat easy.

Hehe hydrangeas done! A lot of my “legos” aren’t legos. They’re “brick craft” and a lot easier to do in my opinion.

Got up early today so I decided to tackle the case, it went by super fast and I was shocked how simple it was. So I put all the flowers I’d been working on for a year in it. Def gonna need to get another vase so I can work on the two I have left.

Also! I know there’s a lot going on in this country at the moment. I do a lot outside in my day to day life I don’t always post about for a lot of reasons. But to brighten people’s days here’s my chunky monkey Sylvester wishing everyone could pet him (he’s very sociable).

These are my other crafts, I think I’m gonna work on the vase since I have other flowers I need to put in it.

Then over the past few days I finished the diamond art coasters and my mini Leaning Tower of Pisa I got at 5 Below a while back. The tower was a bit too small for me and I don’t think I’d get another from this particular series. But I had a lot of fun with these crafts. #hobby #craft

Then I read The Nature of Witches and absolutely adored it. I loved Wild is the Witch and Griffin seems to be an author I really vibe with so I’m looking forward to her other books. 4.5 ⭐️ #booksky I loved the complexity she explored with accepting yourself as you are in both books I read 😭💞

Finally finished The Shepherd King duology a few days ago and I loved the ending! Once I kinda ignored some blurbs in the first book I really enjoyed the plot and magic system and thought it was really unique. Both books got 4.25 ⭐️ from me. #booksky
