I think that whole image up there can be referred to as the "coastal zone/area/region/etc" in most situations.

Please take this with a grain of salt though, lol. Not an expert, just majored in ocean science.

Coast = noun form
Coastal = adjective form
From my understanding. Coastal is often used to casually generalize the area (at least in non-academic writing).
