fyi- it was an avocado, prosciutto and Havarti pimento sandwich. so a LOT of effort was put into making this sandwich. Hell, I remember the sandwich more than most of this movie that my core memory IS the sandwich followed by the movie I needed a break from to go make it.

i think i got up at that point to make a snack and came back to see him jamming on the DJ Hero console and feeling like that was needlessly long because I made a major sandwich. I could hear the entire thing going when I was making that sandwich and was all "yup- making a big sandwich...."

it felt like the director (or someobody- producers can do this too) was trying to show off too many things. Like the night club scene- it felt like they kept going for smoke breaks, getting a funny idea, rolling with it. Someone is all "we CANT cut the girls screaming- im trying to date one of them"

we're on the same wavelength algorithm and i kinda like it when that happens :3

oh yeah- It had a high "this feels like a scene in Policenauts" moment with the train stuff and then later with the bomb and wow did it make me only want to play Policenauts again.

Like if you going to go full out stupid in a movie at least give us what we want- huge fire and explosions and BOOM! Not "dang- where did he go??"

I give this movie 3 Face Off's out of 5. Its stupid good fun and something you have to see.

There's also this chase scene where a tanker is blocking the highway and you KNOW its going to go BOOM- and you wait and you wait and you wait and it never happens like they decided last minute to not do the one thing that could have saved the dumb chase scene which is a huge BOOM

so Russell's character regens with nano machines by absorbing glass- and its like not unknown, its how Denzel tracks him.... and yes, he kills him by pushing him into a pile of glass windows.... why not push him into something NOT glass?

A key plot point comes in where Russell's character wants to fight Denzel's character because "he's his gamer" and if they just ran with THAT for the whole movie it prob would have been better and we'd save time not having to write a part for his wife and kid- i'm still confused on that bit...

Then you have Denzel playing 3 different characters but are all one guy- it gets confusing. Like is he a cop? Is he a criminal? Whatever- he's opressed and we never explore it- just remember he's got a metal arm that we show and never really do much with it

The ending assaults you like you're being busted for graffiti and the cops are taking turns holding phone books against you while they punch. Hey- THATS what it felt like: all the pain, no trophy scars to run with.

My thoughts:
Man, this was stupid- This had a good idea that blended sci-fi tech into a fun action movie, but it suffered in so many ways. Script needed a huge edit, actors just phoning in emotional scenes while others ate the scenery- bloody good stupid fun.

there is a China movie- I haven't seen that one either. Looks as if I have some work to do

The JP release has him with the tie and Barkley- yo does anyone remember Barkley? The proto Snuffy??
