A striking contrast to other parties' LGBT+ wings, like @pluslibdems.bsky.social, who recently publicly stood up to their party's capitulation to transphobes.

I think this response by Keira Knightley is probably *more* infuriating and contemptuous than if she'd just said "I simply don't care, I did it for the money."
Keira Knightley said that she was “not aware” of demands to boycott JK Rowling prior to joining the cast of the new audiobook versions of the Harry Potter series. Knightley was speaking to Decider to promote her new Netflix movie The Woman in Cabin 10 (in which she plays a Guardian reporter), and was asked if she knew that “some fans are calling for a Harry Potter boycott”. Knightley said: “I was not aware of that, no. I’m very sorry. You know, I think we’re all living in a period of time right now where we’re all going to have to figure out how to live together, aren’t we? And we’ve all got very different opinions.” She added: “I hope that we can all find respect.”

While actual LGBT+ campaigners protest at conference against Labour's transphobia, LGBT+ Labour's (I believe currently unelected) co-chair welcomes transphobe-in-chief Wes Streeting to their event and poses for smiling photos with him.

I know it's not exactly news by this stage, but I can't help find something morbidly fascinating about LGBT+ Labour's craven uselessness in the face of this wildly transphobic government. This is the first thing they've posted in 2 months.

The govt is itself engaging in anti-LGBT+ hate, not committed to tackling it. And most LGBT+ Labour patrons have stood silently by while it does so. Some, like the odious Streeting, are active participants.
Tackling LGBT+ Hate Crime As you may have seen, the government recently accepted Rachel Taylor MP's amendment to the Crime and Policing Bill which will introduce tougher sentences for hate crimes against LGBT+ people and Disabled people. This will bring legislation on crimes motivated by hate against LGBT+ and Disabled people into line with current sentencing guidance on crimes motivated by racial or religious hatred. We welcome this step from the government, demonstrating a commitment to tackling anti-LGBT+ hate and its consequences for our society. It is also a testament to the incredible work that Rachel and all of our LGBT+ patrons in parliament are doing to champion LGBT+ rights.

I mean … what do you even say to someone who can now post something like this without a trace of embarrassment?
I passed through the city centre on Pride day last year. I thought I would miss it but caught the tail end of it was it neared the end of the route. There was hardly a gay man or Lesbian in the parade. Instead I saw mostly allies, and then leather men, drag queens, dog fetishists and trans men in it. I got roped into walking with them when people I knew passed. I felt sick.

Many Germans, she told the Foreign Press Association on Monday, were ambivalent about it. “They have two hearts beating in one breast. They recognise on the one hand the need to relax the strict debt rules, but on the other, are irritated by the sheer scale of the monies which will be unleashed as a result.
