Tiny little rug with the worst tension anybody in the world's ever managed. I gave it to my Chrestomanci lion.

If your character's in a sewer level, are their socks wet? What's it smell like? Do they have to hunch over, and is that hurting their back? I use this mainly for prose, but it's always worth thinking about.

Adding one after a talk about craft with some prose writer friends yesterday:

WHOLE BODY SENSATION: It's easy to default to writing as though people are a pair of eyes and hands moving through space, but both a character and the space they move through feels more real the more senses you draw on.

terrible first attempt completed. a second attempt to use real materials instead of trash was immediately foiled by deciding I needed to make a shuttle for embroidery floss out of tissue box carton.

There's so much more I could say but it feels almost impossible to express-- Rising was the first game I worked on; I gave it my whole heart; maybe that says it all. I'm excited to see it in its final form. Everyone go meet my haunted robot son. Thanks.
