ai people are weird and entitled. if you don't want to hone the skill, pay for the skill. its simple
And honestly I just think the easiest solution is to ban character/mech images altogether outside of the mini building site. Kinda sucks cuz designing how your mech looks is part of fun but I don't see a way around it. We can just use the theater of the mind, as a group. I do not appreciate Max saying we should just not have images of our characters and then immediately turning around and talking about what he's going to draw. All i can think is, "That must be nice for you." I don't want to be that spiteful butl look at the pic I found of my character and it puts a smile on my face evertime. It captures the idea I had of her perfectly. I took a few hours one night after work searching for it. Not the same as hand drawing a thing but I work with the tools I have. I am not looking forward to the day Max parades whatever he draws around. I appreciate he has a talent but he's wielding it like an ass. I can also bring that idea up to the group on the server, if you'd rather not be directly in the middle on this. I just figure Max is your friend so if there was a better way to go about this to give you the chance to do so. The more I read up on it and chatting with folks about it, my conclusion is solidifying into something different then your guys. Al technology is designed and used improperly by many but for most folks it's just a way to express themselves and I'm opposed pretty strongly to folks trying to control how people do that. "That's not real art..." has been used to try to shutdown new forms of expression throughout history. Artists are their own worst enemy. I'm not trying to convince anyone at this point but I also don't want Max bulldozing his opinion and his art onto the rest of us while denying us the tools we do have access to. There's a LOT of nuance and discussion on the subject of Al art and this isn't the place for it. I don't see Max and I ever coming to an agreement on the subject so it's probably best to just stop the whole thing from being a thing.
