Psychological thrillers Rebound and Exposure, plus brand new What Have You Done, Zoe Bloom?
Can we please start a list of London novels by women? As a London writer myself, I think it’s one of the most literary cities in the world. Photogenic, rich, charming, frustrating and always fascinating.
What a disappointment that Sinclair can’t recommend a London novel by a woman. 📚

Anyway I chose books with broadly same dates as his: The World my Wilderness by Rose Macauley for 39-45 & post-War; London lies Beneath by Stella Duffy for Edwardian London: Brick Lane by Monica Ali 20th/21st cent 1/

Saw Maddaddam at the Royal Opera House last night. What an incredible experience. Where do I start? Based on Margaret Atwood’s visionary trilogy, choreographed by Wayne McGregor, with music composed by Max Richter. Ballet, theatre and life doesn’t get better than that…
